Order and Termination
Customer's order represents a written contract between a buyer and seller. Buyer agrees to purchase goods or services from a Seller. The required deposit on all orders is 50%. Per Connecticut law, any order may be cancelled for any reason within 72 hours of initial purchase. Cancellations must be authorized by Contemporary Furniture Center in advance. Orders may be cancelled only in writing (mail, email or fax) within 72 hours of original order date and time. An order is defined as any complete or partial order. After 72 hours orders or partial orders are not cancellable without managerial approval. If the cancellation of the order is done after 72 hours and termination is authorized by the manager, customer will receive a refund less 25% restocking fee. Please note that the required 50% deposit on special orders is not-refundable on cancellations after 72 hours. We will assess each situation. All refunds must be accompanied by original sales order receipt. If payment was received by any other method other than bankcard, we will send a refund check after a 14 day waiting period. The check will be issued to the person(s) named on the order. In the case of a bank card, the credit will be made to the bankcard used for the transaction. No cash refunds will be issued under any circumstances. Contemporary Furniture Center will make every effort to contact the customer when their order becomes available. If the customer is unreachable for more than (60) sixty days, Contemporary Furniture Center reserves the right to terminate the order in which case the customer forfeits the deposit. After 30 days of no-response the Customer will receive a letter of pending termination sent to the address on the original order to which the customer will have 15 days to respond. After 60 days the termination process is final. Contemporary Furniture Center reserves the right to cancel any order at any time due to pricing error or product unavailability. Customer will be charged $50 fee for any returned check and only credit card, cash, money order or bank check will be accepted to cover the original check amount plus the $50 fee with 48 hours.
Prior to Delivery
All orders MUST BE PAID IN FULL PRIOR TO DELIVERY. We will schedule your drop-off or delivery within a 3-hour window time. Please understand that there can be events, impossible to predict, that may delay the drivers beyond the window time. The driver will call you to advise on such delay. An adult (18 years or older) must be at home to receive and sign for the dropped-off or delivered products. Balance must be paid in full 3 days prior to delivery as our drivers cannot collect any payments. The customer needs to make sure that all furniture will fit through any doorways, stairways, and hallways as well as in the room itself. Should the products be shipped back to our warehouse for any reason without prior authorization, the customer will also be responsible for the additional shipping charges and product restocking fees will apply.
Furniture Pick-Up
Your ordered products can be picked up at our Warehouse with no additional charge. We will call you to let you know when your products will be available for pick up and to schedule a pick up time. Please, come prepared: have a proper vehicle, ropes and any needed packing materials with you. Those items may be provided to you at additional charge upon request. Our warehouse staff will assist you in loading your vehicle at no additional cost, however it is your responsibility to secure the merchandise. The Contemporary Furniture Center will not be responsible for any damage to the furniture after it is secured by you on your vehicle. PLEASE ALLOW ENOUGH TIME TO INSPECT ALL THE MERCHANDISE PRIOR TO LOADING AND SIGNING THE "PICK UP" DOCUMENTS. When "pick up" documents are signed the sale is final. There will be no returns or exchanges.
Curbside Shipping: CT, MA, RI and many areas in NY, NJ and NH.
Drop-off service at curbside only. There will be only one driver most of the time. Products will not be brought inside your home. We will call you 72 hours prior to drop-off to schedule the drop-off service. If you need to reschedule, we must hear from you minimum 24 hours before scheduled drop-off time (please do not leave a message-you need to talk to our customer service representative). If we do not hear from you and our driver is unable to drop-off your products as scheduled, you will be charged again for drop-off service. Additional fees do apply if you choose to upgrade to a higher service class. For example: an upgrade to a delivery with in-home assembling class. Should you decide to upgrade to a higher service class at the time of the scheduled curbside drop-off service, you need to accept your furniture, sign for your delivery and contact us to pay for the upgrade. We will schedule the additional service for the next available open time. The customer needs to make sure prior to signing the order that all furniture will fit through any doorways, stairways, and hallways as well as in the room itself. The customer will be responsible for additional delivery charges and product restocking fees should any furniture be returned due to "size" and "fit" problems. Furniture Delivery
Contemporary Furniture Center offers local delivery to: CT, MA, RI and many areas in NH, NY, NJ, and PA. This service includes: delivery, opening and inspection of all the ordered products at the customer's residence. It also includes assembly, careful placement of all products into customer's room of choice and packaging removal. This service may be quoted to the customer at the time of purchase. The customer needs to make sure prior to signing the order that all furniture will fit through any doorways, stairways, and hallways as well as in the room itself. Please be aware that our drivers are not authorized to move anything in your house. Please make room for your new products ahead of time. The customer will be responsible for additional delivery charges and product restocking fees should any furniture be returned due to "size" and "fit" problems. Nationwide Freight
We ship nationwide with UPS, Yellow, Roadway or FEDEX freight. For all products ordered we will quote "CURBSIDE SHIPPING" charge. Products will be dropped-off at curbside only and will not be brought into your home. You might be able to upgrade to a higher service class at additional cost. You need to advise us of your special handling needs at the time of purchase. For example: you may need a lift gate service or additional person to carry the items inside the house for you. All nationwide shipping providers charge extra for those services and need to be notified ahead of time for a quote on such services. Freight provider will email or call you as requested with a notification on when your order ships and when it is scheduled to be dropped-off at your residence. If you need to reschedule, you need to contact the freight company directly at the number provided on the notification. The customer assumes responsibility for any charges levied by the freight provider associated with multiple redelivery attempts and/or storage. The customer needs to make sure that all furniture will fit through any doorways, stairways, and hallways as well as in the room itself. Should the products be shipped back to our warehouse for any reason without prior authorization, the customer will also be responsible for the additional shipping charges and product restocking fees will apply. Furniture Storage
Contemporary Furniture Center will warehouse ordered products at customer's request with no charge, up to one month from original drop-off/delivery date as listed on the order. This applies to orders paid in full only. Additional storage charges will apply for items warehoused longer than on month. If ordered products are not paid for in full, storage charges and other fees will apply from original drop-off/delivery date.
Lowest Price Guarantee

If you find a lower advertised price, under the same terms and conditions from another local retailer, on identical merchandise, we'll refund the purchase price. So, buy in confidence today knowing that the purchase you make now will not be found at a lower price for 30 days after you have received your merchandise.
Refunds
If you paid by check or cash, our office will issue a refund by check. We do not make cash refunds. Due to the time required for banks to process checks, we can issue a refund check no sooner than 14 days from receipt of customer's check. The deposit for special order products is not refundable or transferable.
Returns
Once shipping or delivery is accepted by Customer and signed for, the sale is final and products are not returnable. PLEASE ALLOW ENOUGH TIME TO INSPECT ALL THE MERCHANDISE PRIOR TO SIGNING THE "DELIVERY" or "DROP-OFF" DOCUMENTS. When "DELIVERY" documents are signed the sale is final. There will be no returns or exchanges. Furniture delivered by a third party carrier is subject to the following policy: When the freight company DROPS-OFF or DELIVERS your products, you must inspect your shipment prior to signing delivery documents. If the outside packaging is damaged chances are that the product inside is also damaged. You cannot accept delivery without checking your products. If damage is found, you have to clearly indicate that on the Bill of lending and the form must be signed by you and the driver. You need to reject the delivery and file a claim directly with the freight company. In the case of multiple item orders, a claim can be filed only for the damaged items. All other items must be accepted. Please call us to reorder your product once the Freight Company settles your claim. Contemporary Furniture Center will work to ensure that your replacement items are shipped as soon as possible. If for some reason a certain item becomes unavailable prior to shipping, Contemporary Furniture Center may substitute the item with a suitable replacement of equal or greater value determined by Contemporary Furniture Center. Please be careful when ordering your furniture and let us know if we can be of assistance in selecting the right furniture for your situation. Always measure the space you picked for placing furniture before you make an order. We will not accept back any assembled merchandise. Contemporary Furniture Center is not liable for products damaged by the customer during the opening or assembly process.
Special Order
Contemporary Furniture Center offers custom-made, special order merchandise manufactured to customer's specifications. THE SPECIAL ORDER CANNOT BE CANCELLED. In most cases, special order products will arrive at our warehouse within 12 weeks (imports do take longer) from the order date. You must be prepared to accept delivery of your furniture as soon as it becomes available. THE REQUIRED DEPOSIT ON ALL SPECIAL ORDERS IS 50% AND IS NON-REFUNDABLE.
Product Accuracy
We display all product images on our website as accurately as possible, however, we cannot guarantee that the color you see matches exactly the color of the product, as the display of the color depends, in part, upon the monitor you are using. Upholstery and wood samples are available upon request, please contact our customer service for more information. Prices and availability of products and services are subject to change without notice. Contemporary Furniture Center. com reserves the right to revoke any stated offer, correct discovered errors, inaccuracies or omissions. This includes all orders already submitted, confirmed and paid for. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, we will issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the charge. Individual bank policies will dictate when this amount is credited to your account. Product Availability
We offer no specific guarantee of stock availability. Manufacturer's/Importer's limited supply, customer demand and unforeseen circumstances can all inhibit product availability. We take every reasonable precaution to ensure that all of the products displayed on our website and in our showrooms are in stock and available. Upon order placement our sales representative will confirm product availability for you. If for some reason product availability can't be confirmed at the time of order (for example: when order is placed after hours, on weekend or during holidays), our sales representative will contact you as soon as the information becomes available.
Service & Warranty Policy
Products we sell are backed by the limited manufacturers' one-year warranty. This limited warranty covers manufacturer's defects only. Each claim needs to be forwarded to the manufacturer for approval. Limited manufacturer's warranty covers every piece of furniture we sell except for clearance merchandise. Clearance merchandise includes: sold "as is" products, discontinued products, floor samples, previously owned products and products with some irregularity or cosmetic defects in the wood, fabric or other material that occurred on the showroom floor, in shipping, in the warehouse or in manufacturing. Sale of such merchandise is final. There are no returns, refunds or service for any such faults with such merchandise.
Manufacturer's Warranty does NOT cover: Normal wear and tear and damage due to misuse, abuse, heavy soiling or accidents. Damage or discoloration caused by sunlight. Pilling of fabric or wear, shading or shrinkage of any fabric due to improper cleaning. Variations in the color or graining of wood, wood products or marble that are inherent to the nature of the material. Blemishes or other markings inherent in the finish of any furniture. Scratches, chips, rips, tears, glass and mirror breakage occurring after the merchandise is accepted. Accessories and linens. Bodily fluids on bedding. Commercial usage will void warranty. Moving the furniture from it is original delivery address voids warranty. Contemporary Furniture Center is also not liable for products damaged by the customer during the opening or assembly process. Upon receipt of claim information Contemporary Furniture Center reserves the right to: Inspect defective product at customer's home or ask customer to bring the defective product to our warehouse, ask for photos of the defective product, repair defective product in customer's home or pick up defective product for repair or exchange.
Damage to Customer's home and property
Any damage to Customer's home and property must be reported to Contemporary Furniture Center immediately. Claim form needs to be signed by customer and by driver and/or installer at the time of damage. We will not honor any such home and property claims once our driver and/or installer leaves customer's home without signed claim form.
Replacement Parts
Replacement Parts such as: shelves, knobs, toss pillows, drawers, hardware can be obtained by contacting our Customer Service Department. A replacement cost will apply on most items. Please contact our customer service departments at 1-860-356-0322.
Normal Wear on Fabric Pilling is normal and maintained easily by using a fabric shaver. This controls the pilling until the fabric stops shedding. Fabric shavers can be purchased at most department stores.
